Jesus in high school

Let’s cultivate faith and hope in the hearts of young students and enlighten their path with the teachings of Jesus.

Our Program goals

At the heart of our organization is a deeply-rooted commitment to the establishment of new churches and the education of future pastors. We are keenly aware that vast expanses of Western Africa are yet to hear the life-altering message of the Gospel. Driven by this understanding, our goal is to plant churches that not only believe in the teachings of the Bible but are also resilient and dynamic. We aspire for these churches to mature and prosper, eventually multiplying and expanding their influence, echoing the biblical principle found in Matthew 28:19, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations”.

About Our Program

He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.
– Colossians 1:28

Junior and senior high schools in West Africa are often riddled with various forms of immorality and troubling situations. We firmly believe that the knowledge and fear of the Lord serve as the foundational pillars for instilling hope in the hearts of these young individuals. It’s our mission to bring the beacon of Christ into these institutions, and we accomplish this through a variety of programs such as Bible study groups, sporting events, retreats, and camping activities. The centerpiece of our efforts is a Bible study program called Lumière Dans La Cité (Light in the City), aiming to shed the light of Christ’s teachings amidst these young minds.

Every Wednesday, at around 12:30pm post classes, we assemble students in the main hall for this unique Bible study session. The gathering begins with light snacking, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and warmth. This is followed by uplifting songs and, most importantly, the presentation of the Gospel. In these times, we ensure the Good News is presented clearly, and the transforming power of Jesus Christ is emphasized. We also facilitate counseling sessions for students who may need them, addressing their unique challenges and providing the necessary support.

However, our mission isn’t just spiritual; it’s practical too. We’ve observed that several students struggle to afford even the modest tuition fees. Although the fees might seem negligible by U.S. standards, approximately $40 per semester, they pose a significant challenge for many local families. Thus, assisting these students with their tuition fees becomes another avenue through which we extend the love of Jesus. A mere $200 could cover the tuition for five students for an entire semester, significantly easing their financial burden.

The journey through high school spans three years, a critical period for any young individual. We urge you to consider how you can contribute to the welfare of these students. If the Lord inspires you to support a student through high school or offer a one-time donation towards our mission, we would be deeply grateful. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for more details. Together, we can help these young minds embrace Christ’s teachings and enable their dreams of a brighter future.
